Social Club!

The Connection Social Club was a social experiment that I started after I heard the news of a friend of mine passing away. He had lived with shame for a long time, and it came a high price. The social group met once a week for four week blocks, and attempted to create the kind of connection that really nourishes the human spirit. Where we could all go beyond daily small talk, to the stuff that really matters to us as human beings - where we could share our similarities and learn from our differences. 

Some of the topics we explored included death, the meaning of life, purpose, transformation and love. 

We engaged with therapeutic art activities that aligned with our conversation theme so that our conversations took on a meditative quality, deepening the experience for all.

While I loved running these groups, they eventually became unsustainable for me. So it is with some sadness that I have decided to discontinue this experiment. But I know for the people who participated, we all received something really special from these events, and made some friends along the way.
